The release of J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek,” with a new cast taking on the roles of Capt. James Kirk, Spock and other original characters, has been moved from Christmas Day to May 8, 2009, distributor Paramount said Thursday. Studio spokesman Michael Vollman said the switch was a business move, not because of any problems with the film caused by the Writers Guild of America strike that just ended. more Via Msnbc O.J. Simpson’s girlfriend Christie Prody was hospitalized in Miami Monday for what police are calling a “severe head injury,” “Entertainment Tonight” reported. Prody suffered bruises and head injuries — but it was because of a fall, and it had nothing to do with Simpson, Miami police told TMZ.com. The National Enquirer reported that Simpson was being investigated after Prody was taken to the hospital. But cops told TMZ that her injuries are “consistent” with a fall she took at a gas station, that they don’t consider this a criminal case and that Simpson was never a suspect. AEG Live, as I told you a few weeks ago, wants Jackson to play its Millennium Dome in London. Sources tell me they’ve made him an extraordinary offer. The deal that’s been offered could total up to $30 million. It begins with a $10 million guarantee for 10 nights, with a maximum of 30 nights adding up to $30 million. Britney was in the ambulance and she arrived at UCLA Medical Center around 1:35 A.M. Following the ambulance were none other than Lynne Spears and Adnan Ghalib - in the same car.
