AMD just announced pricing and release time for Vega and I think fans are going to be pleased. The RX Vega 64 is the first implementation of AMD’s scalable GPU architecture, with 12.5 billion 14nm transistors. The cards also use HBM2 memory, which is 3.5x more efficient than GDDR5 and is 75% smaller too.
AMD will offer both cards as part of discount bundles that offer reduced prices on Freesync monitors, Ryzen 7 processors and games. a $599 Black Pack – $100 more than a standalone card, will get you a solid brushed metal shroud limited edition Vega 64. This will allow you to claim $200 off a Samsung curved FreeSync monitor, $100 discount on a Ryzen 7 CPU and get two free games. A similar Aqua Pack for $699 includes a liquid-cooled Vega 64 plus the same discounts above for the monitor, CPU and games. There’s also a discount-laiden option for the RX Vega 56, with similar cuts in monitor, CPU and game prices for $100 more than the standard price. Via
