1More Triple Driver Headphone Review – “Music is Food for the Soul”
rior to CES this year, I hadn’t heard of 1More, a company based out of China. If you are expecting a quick throw around basic set of earbuds, this is not for you. Although they have plenty of other audio products, my ears pricked up when I heard “Triple Driver”. Tuned by Grammy winner Luca Bignardi means that you know there has been quality and care put into the development of these earbuds.
Again these are not flimsy. The actual earbuds are made of brushed aluminum alloy, and are an off-axis design for better fit. There was no need to fiddle around with fit and ear gels. It was effortless, and do not fall out of your ears easily. The cable has braided nylon and enameled copper wrapped around a Kevlar core, all the better to avoid snagging, tangling, and fraying. Take a peek at their website at the extensive durability testing they’ve done on the cable, even hanging bowling ball from the cable. Now as far as the sound quality, they sound just beautiful! The 2 armatures purpose is to minimize the distortion of the music. The dynamic driver is made of triple layers of aerospace grade metal. The sound is crisp and clear, with the right balance of bass for me, and these quickly became my daily reliable earbuds.
The packaging is quite impressive if you ask me. Inside the box they’ve included diagrams showing you can see the components and design of the Triple Driver. The magnetic closure carrying case is a step up from other earbud pouches, and has a faux leather and stitch detail. The ear gels options are extensive. You have 7 different sizes of silicone, and 3 of memory foam. They are neatly displayed and labeled for you. The matching 1More rose gold clip tops it off for the final touch. For $99 you are getting more than your money’s worth.
