Ok The Evil Within is one scary game and I am not saying this because its a sponsored post. But because I got a chance to play it this week at Betheseda’s booth at E3, and boy this takes the Resident Evil feel to a whole other level. Developed by Shinji Mikami, the father of survival horror, is back to direct The Evil Within – a game embodying the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story weave together to create an immersive world that will bring players to the height of tension. The Evil Within is in development for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC and is slated for release in 2014 (at the moment, in October, near Halloween)
The Game is very intense, as I mentioned I got a chance to go through about 15 mins of gameplay at E3 2014 in LA. Even though I was in an environment that crowded and loud with all the excitement. The Game is still very engaging and draws you into its very eerie atmosphere and keeps you on your toes with intense and somewhat shocking scenes. As expected from a Shinji Mikai game, your character is limited to an array of weapons and ammo; which keeps you on your toes as a player in constantly thinking of ways to evade, escape and handle gaming situations. Above all, the one thing Evil Within was able to accomplish in my short 15 min gameplay session, was to get me as frightened and shocked as you will see in the video below. The Evil Within is a game that is not for the faint of heart; but if you dare its a solid gaming session from a visionary creator.
