My Next: Samsung Galaxy S8!!!
The Galaxy S8 seems all it hopes to be and I couldn’t wait to try it. It is a matter of efficiency and access for me. I can find positive use with most smartphones, but tend to keep coming back to Samsung. So this device a quite a welcome arrival. The sleek form factor is so comfortable, but without sacrificing screen size or capability.
How is she so sleek and pretty? Due to having no bezel, the Galaxy S8 is narrower, yet maintains a 5.8 inch screen. As with the prior edge models, it has dual curved edges, which lends to the fluid form. However, the curves can still result in a shortage of case or screen protector options. This device is chock-full of front and rear sensors. I’ve definitely gotten used to using a fingerprint sensor to unlock or access apps, and love that is in the back. By far I will use the iris scanner and facial recognition the most. After the initial setup, it still recognized me with my glasses on. I do tend to be a heavy user on my phone, so secure and speedy access are a plus for me.
On to the topic that keeps bringing me back to Samsung, and that is the camera. With the addition of snapchat-esque filters, 4K video recording, the 8MP front and 12MP rear facing cameras are just what I need. Better yet, a whopping 64GB of internal yet expandable storage makes me almost emotional. There is the addition of the Bixby button, which is to be determined for me. I may or may not try and use it for translations, but not sure if I would really utilize Bixby features daily. Most likely the translation feature would be my favorite.
I am not sure about you but at some point everyone I know has discussed the price. It is a bit hefty at $700+, but we all know that is just the way of the world these days. I will be justifying the cost because I just can’t tear myself away.
