Lenovo Y40 Laptop Review: Gaming on a Budget

Y40-3 Lenovo’s Y40 is a well-built gaming machine which does what it was designed to do, play games. While it isn’t the most powerful gaming laptop we’ve gotten our hands on here at Booredatwork, nor is it the best spec’d device from Lenovo, it is a compelling mid ranged gaming device which can deliver a solid gaming experience on the go.With a Core i7 running at 2ghz, a Radeon R9 M275 with 4GB GDDR, 16GB of DDR3L, 512GB SSD and a beautiful 14-inch FHD display (1920×1080), this device is not designed to give you just more than enough power to handle your gaming needs without breaking the bank. It wouldn’t get you hot and bothered but it would scratch that gaming itch.

What stands out about this Laptop is the overall design. For a mid-ranged gaming PC this laptop is designed with top-notch style and an eye for mobility. Another great standout for this product is the price. I was, and I still am, impressed with the price point. Originally listed at 1500 USD, this gaming machine has had a recent price cut to 999 USD, making it a very appealing contender for your hard-earned dollars. Being able to play games like Arkham City, BioShock Infinite at close to Max resolution without breaking a sweat and my wallet is something we all can appreciate from Lenovo. Gaming is about the experience and sometimes that comes at a price high than what we would like. Thankfully with the Lenovo Y40 you can enjoy some of your best gaming experience and not have to worry about spending too much.

Overall, when factoring in the more recent price cut and the specs being offered, the Lenovo Y40 is definitely a contender for your hard-earned dollars.
