Adata Choice PC500 – “Beautiful, Practical, Portable

Adata pc500-1 Finally some more “girly” products. I have dubbed the Adada PC500 my “Tiffany’s” of powerbanks. Another in their series of Adata USA’s products with a more feminine design, this even reminded me of a cosmetic case. It even comes with the classic robins-egg blue soft carrying pouch, with a matching floral design. Instead of looking like something electronic, you have folks wondering if you are about to powder your nose!

The PV 500 is wonderfully compact. On one flat side you have the Adata logo and a lovely floral design engraving.  At one edge you will find the power button, led indicator, and usb and micro USB ports.   The led display blinks depending on how fully charged such as one light for 25%, two for 50%, and so on. It is a 5000 mAh li-polymer power bank. At that capacity, I successfully charged my Samsung G4 and then some. It gives you just enough to charge a smartphone fully, but not a tablet. The only downside was the micro usb cable that came included.  It is too long, and the security elastic cord doesn’t stay put, so it ends up unravelling. Even though it comes with it’s own cable, it is compatible using other USB cables. As with the previous model reviewed, there are built in safety measures to prevent over charging etc, as well as temperature protrection to monitor battery temp. Very reasonably priced at …….you can find the PV500 at online stores for around $35-$50.
