Tiesto Clublife Maximal Headphone Review
Supreme audio specialists Audiofly has partnered with world-renowned DJ Tiesto for a line of in-ear headphones called “Club Life”. It was fabulous seeing their partnership in action at CES for the Tiesto show at Hakkasan. Their product series combines Tiesto’s style with Audiofly superior product. Many musicians already use Audiofly products for their sound checks, so it only makes sense that another music guru put his stamp on their product.
There are three models available, ranging in quality from Paradise, to Maximal, and Adagio. Each are comparable to well-tested Audiofly models. In particular, I’ve tested the Maximal, comparable to the AF45. Each line has slightly different design and colors, one of which is Tiesto’s particular shade of red. The Maximal is beautiful, in this case with gold-plated accents. At the earbuds, you will see the “T” Tiesto logo. The surrounding color with the same metallic gold accents. The 3 sizes of noise isolating ear cushions are high-grade silicone. The Audioflex cable is tangle free, made with a CORDURA fabric outer sheath for outstanding durability.. Each set of headphones comes compact carrying pouch. I am definitely one of those people who needs the pouch so I don’t lose them!! Just as their other models, these are quite comfortable for everyday use.
The sound quality of the Maximal is really fabulous, and honestly I can’t think of any that are their equal. Each tone sounds crisp, without overdoing it. You can hear the tones of various instruments. The bass isn’t overbearing, and is perfectly complemented by higher tones. Additional specs:
Custom voiced 11 mm dynamic driver
Frequency range: 18-20 kHz
Sensitivity: 118dB at 1 kHz
Impedance: 16 Ohms
The pricing ranges are $34.99, $59.99, and $149.99 and well worth the price. Some are already sold out on Tiesto’s product site.
