So what does Samsung latest and greatest entry into the smartphone market have to offer. The Samsung Galaxy SIII represents the first time a smartphone manufacturer has released a uniform device across all US major carriers (not even the iPhone can Boost that),. Hardware wise the Samsung galaxy SIII sports a 1.5 GHz dual-core S4 Snapdragon Processor with 2GB of Ram, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD (720×1280) display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording and burst mode, 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera with 720p HD video recording, 2,100 mAh battery, HSPA+ T-Mobile, 4G LTE Verizon & AT&T &( 4G LTE Capable Sprint ); running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with the newest version of TouchWiz (Nature UX). also has the capacity to expand storage via microSD up to 32GB on either the 16GB or 32GB models of the SGSIII. Comes in white and pebble blue colors. The design of the Galaxy SIII is sleek and simple, though not a big departure; I can say it is one that you have to see and feel to truly appreciate, photos don’t do it justice. But the device is impressively thin, light and comfortable. My only design complaint is the plastic back cover
8 Megapixel Camera
The Samsung Galaxy SIII has an 8 megapixel camera with improved optics. Though 8 Megapixels is the industry standard for mobile phone cameras. Samsung has taken it upon themselves to set their device apart from the rest with some very cool and innovative feature.s with all android 4.0 devices smartphones, you have the ability to take photos while recording video. You also have the ability to create time-lapse video and burst shots and continuous shots.
Samsung has also added some unique features like share shot, which allows you to instantaneously share photos as you are taking them on you galaxy SIII to other Samsung galaxy SIII phones via Wi-Fi Direct. What is also cool is that the option automatically turns of after 5mins of inactivity to conserve battery power, and you don’t have to wait for the photos to be posted on Facebook . There’s also “Buddy Photo Share” for sharing photos directly to the people whose faces you’ve tagged in your gallery. These plus all the standard camera setting really adds more value to the Samsung Galaxy SIII. let’s be honest here, a lot of your friends and people you know will Have an SIII, so a feature like share shot becomes very useful at parties and concerts
Software (Android 4.0 + TouchWiz nature UX)
Touchwiz as an Android skin overlay has grown up. Samsung realized that its needs to added to the OS not layer on top like heavy icing . for Instance ‘Pop up play,’ a feature that allows you to play a video anywhere on your screen while simultaneously running other tasks, eliminating the need to close and restart videos when checking new emails or surfing the Web.the GALAXY S III expands upon Android Beam with the S Beam, to be music, file or 1Gb video file in 10mins by simplify touching another Galaxy SIII phone. You even have the ability to customize your lock screen to add a news ticker plus weather information. These and many more make Samsung implementation of android 4.0 a user-friendly and more effective approach to smartphone appeal.
Simply put you get spectacular battery life. As a power user during my review process, I got 13hrs – 15hrs without switching on the power-save option. With Power save on I got 19- 21hrs of battery life. You could attribute this to the larger battery or the improvement derived from Android 4.0 and TouxhWiz nature UX. regardless this is where Android battery life should be. Those number are similar on 4G LTE and HSPA+ variants of the Galaxy SIII
The Samsung Galaxy SIII is the best smartphone on the market, Samsung with its delays and hype has lived up to the expectation of the next best thing. In all honest the Galaxy SIII doesn’t change the way we use smartphones or even revolutionize the industry. What Samsung has achieved is her is making it possible for the user to fully enjoy your device with added features on top of Google’s Android experience. But most of all what they have done here is create and experience that isn’t Google or android, But a Samsung Mobile experience. That is key to the success of the Galaxy SIII
