The latest Legend of Zelda Game for the Wii

Microsoft entry into the motion controlled world will be intruded tomorrow. Formerly known as Project Natal is called Microsoft Kinect

Kinect’s built-in camera and microphone (due later this year, no price set) uses facial and voice recognition to let you, for instance, log onto Xbox Live, start games and pause movies. And a new menu lets you choose games or services such as Netflix by simply reaching out and pointing toward the screen selection. Video chat lets Xbox 360 homes connect; the smart camera widens when another person enters the room.

•Kinectimals lets you train and play with 20 different virtual cats, including a lion, cheetah and tiger.

•Joyride, a racing game, lets players use their hands to hold an imaginary steering wheel — pull your hands toward you and push back out for an acceleration boost — and their bodies to execute jumps and tricks.

•Kinect Sports has six activities including boxing, bowling, beach volleyball, track and field, soccer and table tennis. To serve a volleyball, you mimic the real motion; in soccer, you can kick the ball or do a header.

•Kinect Adventures includes a river-raft time trial and obstacle course, playable by up to four players. On the raft, playing as a duo, you and a partner must lean one way or another to steer. Jumping helps the raft reach special areas for extra points.

•Dance Central, in development by MTV Games, brings a So You Think You Can Dance experience home.

•Star Wars characters and iconic Disney favorites will be featured in separate new games being developed at Microsoft in conjunction with LucasArts and Disney.

She’s back with more E3 rumors, this time is a Slim Xbox360 with Natal and fresh logo. to give the console new breathe of life.

MS will reveal a slim 360 natal bundle at one of their two (yes, two) press conferences at this year’s e3.

What’s more the 360 will be getting a subtle rebrand, with a new logo and black as the new primary colour of the console. They feel that the new system needs to be black because a white Natal wouldn’t sit well next to the typical gloss black tv.

The new system design is pretty neat.

And Natal? Let’s just say you’ll probably be both very surprised and very pleased by one of the games revealed… what is it?

Hudson came to PAX EAST 2010 in order to give gamers a taste of the recent game offerings, which titles like Military Madness, Rooms Wii & DS, The Calling, Deca Sports 2 and Play First Dinner Dash. Here is a Sample of what Hudson Had to offer

Military Madness Wii

Military Madness from the TurboGarph 16 fame is making a coming back to the Wii, this turn base strategy games will be available on the Wiiware for $10. The game is simple to control which is a plus. Means anyone can play. So it all boils down to strategy

Rooms Wii

Rooms is a very interesting game for the Wii and also the DS. Using the base principle of the Simon puzzle, rooms aims to deliver a gaming experience that takes that sometime  annoying simon puzzle fun.

THE CALLING

The Calling is a Japanese game in the same vein as the movie the ring. IN this Wii title you are not armed with guns, grenades, rocket launchers. But object you find that may prove useful throughout your journey within the game. The game use the Wiimote features well, for instance using the Wiimote speaker to answer phone calls in the game.

Fidget from the Frag Dolls was on hand at PAX EAST 2010 to give a live demo of RED STEEL 2 for Wii which is out now in stores. I must say the game looks sweet.

GDC 2010 Sony officially announced the PlayStation Move , a motion controller package that brings Sony and the PS3 into the Motion controller race to arms.

Tritton had a full offering of audio products at CES 2010 that the showed off. Especially their line of gaming headset which provided true Dollby 5.1 surround sound. One first use the headset felt very comfortable, the weight felt appropriate and the audio quality was impeccable, you could easily hear the sound of you bullet shells hit the floor as you fired in game.  Tritton had mainly three headset on display; the AX51 Pro, AX 720 and the budget AX 180

Razer this year showed of some of its new gaming peripherals, one of those was the Razer Sixense Pc motion controller. What’s unique about this  controller is the fact that its basic control mechanism differs from what you find in the Wii or the PS3 motion controller, is that it uses magnetic tracking. Which provides a surprisingly accurate level of maneuverability with speed and precision. The Sixense is still in development but is showing a lot of promise.

Technology demonstrations with prototype motion sensing controllers will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 4, Meeting Room #S215. Products utilizing the motion sensing technology showcased at CES will be launched later in 2010.

The game looks fun and interesting, I do like the graphical approach. Seeing play pierces head on a Caricature is just to funny.

Controls

- A button passes
- B button is turbo
- Swipe controller side to side to execute crossover(offense) or steal attempt(defense)
- Shooting and Blocking are a two part gesture much like that in Wii Sports Resort Basketball.
- Pull the Wii remote up to jump, then flick forward to release the ball on offense, or swat at ball on defense
- To pull of a dunk simply hold the turbo button, and use the same gestures as if you were shooting the ball
- Holding turbo while swiping the controller side to side will execute the trademark shove (on defense)
- Holding the turbo while swiping on offense will execute a spin move which can counter the shove

You saw the Top 5 Fails of the decade now you can see what we think the Top 5 Tech Wins of the decade are.  No. 1 is definitely deserving of its spot as its a game changer.

As a Wii owner and a gamer I am sure the title says it all. I am just laying my thoughts out there, please chime in.

This is a video response to Epic games announcement that came through Anandtech’s posting on the 12/2/09 of the availability of Unreal engine 3 for the Iphone & Ipod touch. After years of Mark Rein telling use this was not possible on the Wii and Unreal Engine 3 was meant for HD systems. Epic now has a working Unreal Engine 3 for the Iphone, but know for the Wii…. Mark Rein can you tell us why?

After years of Epic lying to us that unreal engine was only possible on premium HD systems such as the Xbox360 , PS3 and not the Wii. Now the have gone ahead and ported it to the IPhone platform. Via anandtech

I got together with Mark Rein last week and he showed me an Unreal Engine 3 tech demo running on a 3rd generation iPod Touch. The same Unreal Engine 3 that powers Gears of War 2, running on an iPod Touch. The engine also works on the iPhone 3GS, and Mark tells me that we’ll see it on another mobile platform at CES (hmm…).

The demo is both playable and has a flythrough. It’s using a modified Unreal Tournament level previously shown off at GDC. A virtual thumbstick on the left side of the screen controls your movement, while tracking your thumb in the lower right corner of the screen controls the camera. Just tap the screen to shoot. Mark said this is a tech test bed and they’re experimenting with several different control schemes including ones with tilt.

Epic after all you talk of how unscaleable for the Wii, the go ahead and do this. I love me some Gears of war. But serious. Talk about not capitalizing on a new market base with you engine.

So I started watching the opening of E3 last night with the host (that guys from Talk Soup) um… but got really bored with all the Frenchies talking in their accent.. I happened to catch the Ubisoft part.. but Gizmodo is blogging LIVE!!!! with excerpts, and the best parts: NEW GAMES!
