It looks like tmobile will be getting its power user Android phone soon. Word from a trust source to Tmonews: claims the devices will be arrive to T-mobile USA on July the 21th. Kinda makes sense with the recent launch of the myTouch Slide 3G

But what is happening on the 19th of this month. some say the nexus one will be available in stores through T-mobile . hmmmm have to wait and see. ( I need the Galaxy s Pro, Keyboard FTW)

Google Nexus one is the Flagship Android phone by Google released on the 5th of Jan 2010. This review is going to look at the hardware, Android 2.1, updated browser and the camera.  The nexus one comes with a lovely 3.7 WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with flash and video recording. HSDPA  7.2mbps, wifi, AGPS, snapdragon 1gh processor , 512 flash and 512 rom built in and comes with a 4GB sd microsd card ( expandable to 32gb).

HARDWARE & OS(Android 2.1)

The Nexus one hardware it self is solid. The phone as a smooth feel to it. the hardware is robust and sturdy. A slim slick design gives it a clean finished look. I must say Google and HTC did a good job on the phones design. The physical button lay out is very accessible and the front face hepatic buttons are very easy to use. Now the WVGA AMOLED touchscreen is just a beauty, giving a very clear crispy image once powered on. It gives the phone the very stylish finish it deserves.

The OS, the nexus one runs Android 2.1 and it shows. I have a G1 and using the Nexus one is the difference between night and day.  The OS is much much smoother. getting in and out of apps feel comfortable and without an stress. The new additions and upgrades are also welcome. For starters the integration of Facebook more into the contacts is a big plus as well as the revised contact listing, makes it easy to access different communication points for a single contact. The new picture gallery with geo-tagging of pictures add a new dimension to when and where i took those pics. Also the live-wall paper adds a feature that still can be hard to replicate on a desktop experience.

The Nexus one’s 5 megapixel camera does a fantastic job in taking pictures. The pics came out pretty clear and clear. Also the video recording quality was very very good and clean. Though I don’t have video and pics from night time.

The updated browser on the Nexus one, almost makes me want to dumb my beloved G1. its very fast and responsive. The addition of pinch to zoom is also a nice feature. But i do like the addition of preview windows for bookmarks. Enough talk see the vid for yourself.

In all the Nexus on is a solid phone and true to point the stage at with Android OS true breaks into its own. the ease of the OS is outstanding, the physical nature of the devices is also remarkable. But what shines is the idea of Google setting this phone as the standard bearer for Android and hope for other Android hardware manufacturers to follows suit. My one key draw back, and this maybe more personal than critical, is the lack of a full physical qwerty keyboard. This is the one reason I still use a G1, here’s hoping the Nexus 2 or Nexus one plus comes with one.

In 2003, when Apple said its iTunes music software would work on PCs using the Windows software of its age-old rival, Microsoft, Apple made up posters that read “Hell Froze Over.” Hell may be getting frosty again.

Apple (AAPL) is in talks with Microsoft (MSFT) to replace Google (GOOG) as the default search engine on its iPhone, according to two people familiar with the matter. The talks have been under way for weeks, say the people, who asked not to be named because the details have not been made public.

The discussions reflect the accelerating rivalry between Apple and Google, now the main provider of Web search on the iPhone. While the two companies have worked as partners in the past and Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt had a seat on Apple’s board, Apple and Google have more recently begun competing in several markets, including mobile phones. Google sells a smartphone, theNexus One, that competes directly with the iPhone and it has spearheaded development of a wireless handset operating system that rivals the iPhone OS.

“Apple and Google know the other is their primary enemy,” says one of the people, who’s familiar with Apple’s thinking. “Microsoft is now a pawn in that battle.” Apple is also working on ways to manage ad placement on its mobile devices, a move that would encroach on Google’s ad-serving business, the person says.

The discussions could still unravel and may not be concluded quickly. Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw and Apple spokeswoman Katie Cotton declined to comment.

Google Nexus one is now available to order at google.com/phone you can get the phone for $529 unlocked or $180 now subsidized through t-mobile. what is also nice is that you don’t have to change your service plan it seems. Also a thing to not is that the Nexus one is coming to Verizon this spring and Vodafone in Europe.  I suggest to hurry to google.com/phone to order yours before it runs out.

HTC is producing a tablet to battle the forthcomingApple Tablet, according to Australian publication Smarthouse:

HTC, who have been working closely with Google for the past 18 months have several working models of a touch tablet including one model, is based on the new Google ChromeOperating System say sources.

An Android based device which is set to be shown privately to core HTC customers at the CES Show is set to incorporate new Qualcomm processors, touch technology and new software from Adobe.

We’re sure magazine publishers will be happy about the Adobe software, since they’ve built prototypes of tablet versions of their magazines using Adobe Air.

HTC is also working with Google on its Nexus One phone which should be coming out early next week

Looks like Google tossed the cheap phoen idea out the window for the Nexus one. If you Want one Unclocked it will cose you $530, or $180 Subsidzed by T-mobile with 2 yr contract extension. Here I though Google was on the verge of changing the telecom industry in America.( I apologize I was dreaming)

Interesting. It looks like Google won’t be entirely shaking up any wireless industries at the present time, but it will be pushing forward with its own “flagship” device by selling it directly to consumers. While our connect’s internal T-Mobile photo is rather small, we’ve broken down the text for you:

Google, with support from T-Mobile, is scheduled to launch a new Android device in early January. The Google Android phone will be sold directly by Google via the Web.

Support for the device including troubleshooting and exchanges will be managed by Google and HTC. T-Mobile will offer service support including billing, coverage, features, and rate plans. Additional details Streamline content regarding the launch of Google’s Android phone will be coming in early January.

So… Google is simply selling the phone directly for now, as rumored, and T-Mobile will “officially” support it, even though they practically do the same for any unlocked handset on their network. Google and HTC will be fielding support calls from users, and I’m not quite sure how I feel about that. Unless this is only the Android Development 3 phone. But it’s not just that. And T-Mobile could possibly subsidize it in or around March.

Our tipster doesn’t have information on how those invites are going to be determined, other than the fact that it’s Google doing the inviting — if we had to guess, current registered developers are a strong possibility — but the good news, we suppose, is that T-Mobile will apparently sell the phone directly at some to-be-determined point in the future.

According to reuters,

Google said on its official blog on Saturday that it was testing a new mobile device with its employees. Media reports have said that Google will sell an unlocked version of the touch screen phone, allowing consumers to pick a carrier of their choice to provide wireless service.

Another version will be linked to Deutsche Telekom’s T-Mobile USA, which will subsidize the cost of the phone for U.S. consumers who agree to a service contract, the source said. Pricing details were not available.

“In the long term Google will become a seller and get commission from operators,” the source said, adding that other operators are expected to follow T-Mobile’s lead eventually and agree to Google’s terms.
