The Oral B Genius 8000 is the latest in their line of electric toothbrushes. This could not have come at a better time, as I recently had two crowns replaced and got scolded by my dentist. I had a very old model quite a while ago that had reached its time, but had never actually replaced it. Now my dentist will be happy!
The Genius 8000 is chock full of features that you can dive into to improve your dental hygiene, and that is even before we discuss the corresponding mobile app. The 360 SmartRing is the color indicator band around the top of the brush handle. It warns you if you are brushing too hard, and blinks when it is time to brush a new quadrant. The controls are straightforward as far as power and selecting brushing mode, such as whitening, polishing, or even tongue brushing. I chose to use the 3D white brush head, one of the three included in your kit. Also Included are the travel case and charger, charging docking station and brush cradle, and mirror mount phone cradle.
Position Detection technology is the highlight of the Genius 8000 features, ensures that you never miss a zone, keeps track of your history, progress, and challenges you. I hadn’t paired my Genius for a few weeks, and it stored 30 days worth of activity to sync to the app. Simply download the app, pair via Bluetooth to your Genius 8000, and place your phone in the mirror mount. There are customized reminders to floss, rinse, and clean your tongue. You can also add your dental appointments with the app and share your results with your dentist. The app is extremely easy to use, and has lots that you can explore. Brushing tips pop up for helpful information you may have forgotten.
