New Wi-Fi product line-up by Amped Wireless

aca_family_500 This past week, it was announced by Amped Wireless, www.ampedwireless.com, a leader in the wireless product category, that they would be first to introduce IEEE 802.11ac based products in 2013. This upcoming IEEE specification, which will be finalized in 2013, will allow for even faster transfer and download speeds to multiple products over the current 802.11n specification.  (See www.ieee.org)  At the upcoming CES 2013 show which takes place January 8-11, see www.cesweb.org, these three new Wi-Fi products will be introduced.  These products are the RTA15 High Power Dual Band AC 700mW Wi-Fi Router, the REA20 High Power Dual Band AC 700mW Wi-Fi Range Extender, and the ACA1 High Power Dual Band AC Wi-Fi USB Adapter.

First off we have Amped Wireless’s newest AC router, the RTA15.  This router incorporates two main features: three high-gain dual-band antennas and ten power amplifiers.  This product comes with four 5GHz 700mW 2-stage, two 2.4GHz, and four low-noise amplifiers.  Included on the rear of the item, there are one USB and five gigabit ports.

The second item we see is their newest AC Wi-Fi range extender, the REA20.  It too incorporates the two main features of the RTA15 router: three high-gain dual-band antennas and ten power amplifiers.  This product also comes with four 5GHz 700mW 2-stage, two 2.4GHz, and four low-noise amplifiers.  It also includes one USB and five gigabit ports are included on the rear of the product.

Rounding out their new product line-up is the ACA1, the AC Wi-Fi USB 3.0 adapter.  This adapter consists of two high-gain dual-band antennas and four power amplifiers.  It’s ready for use with pretty much all wireless and wired computers.

Surely by this time next year and probably months sooner, we’ll see a variety of products incorporating IEEE’s newest wireless specification in those got-to-have-it items that we all desire.
