Motorola Photon 4G Hands-on Video

2011-06-09 13.35.31

Got some hands-on time with the Photon 4G, with its 1Ghz dual core Tegra 2 Processor. A 8MP camera  with dual led flash  and a vga front facing camera. So how does the Photon 4G feel? It is a an Atrix 4G, but the device is very polished, running the latest Motoblur. A 4.3 qHD display, 16GB of on board storage which  can be expanded to 48GB with an additional 32GB microSD

Design wise the Photon 4G is different from the Atrix 4G, with sharper edges and what I would call a bolder look.  The Photon 4G also has a Kickstand which seems to be synonymous with Sprint, once you open up the kickstand it sends the phone to landscape mode.

The rear 8MP camera records at 8MP at 720p, but a vga front facing camera ( was hoping for at least a 1.3MP camera). The Phtoon 4G can out video at 1080p via a HDMI-out connection on the device. Overall the Motorola Photon 4G, looks very slick and runs smooth from our demo, Motoblur looked to be running fast on the devices Tegra 2 processor without any hiccups.  We will just have to see how the phone really fairs when we do a full review on the device. Enjoy the hands-on
