I am lucky to have one of the best surround sounds on the market today, I have a pretty decent sized basement with speakers everywhere to get a full, rich, and true surround sound experience, great for gaming and action movies. In the unboxing video I was happy to see the optical out port as that is my main use for the surround sound. The second video the smart remote seems like it should be demoed every time new people come around the T.V. Show off the features of it and apps and from the actual 3d viewing party just makings sure everyone knows and understands the purpose for them being there and the T.V. in general. Also snacks, lots and lots of snacks. For my party, with the addition of the surround sound, food, some streamers, get someone to play hostess along side with me, demo time for people to play with the remote and apps, good presentation, it will be a fun and exciting viewing party/demo for my attendees. Thor 3D would be the movie of choice to demo off of, with the huge Marvel craze right now that is a good enjoyable choice, with the hammer flying around that’s an awesome choice to display. I think while the viewing party is the main objective, incorporation some vital info along with everything all wrapped into one perfect bundle is key, more/less getting the information out there. This would be my party, exciting and informative,a good mixture. Hopefully someone I have over enjoys my hospitality and information so much that they get one and host their own viewing party :)

Well, to start off with, I would invite a friend over to help unbox and set up. Maybe hit the fast forward button on the good old time machine, so it gets set up and operational as quickly as possible. Next, send the 6 year old 60hz plasma up stairs to our son. Then I would hook up the PS3 and surround unit to it so the experience is immersive. Then Fire up the TV, set it up, and link facebook accounts and what not. Then, invite a few friends and family over to watch a couple awesome 3D flicks such as “Dark Knight”, “Avatar”, and “Tron:Legacy”. There would be cheesy popcorn, and sub sandwiches for all! After a few movies with friends and family, I would show off the features, and be sure to say where I won it from, then after they go home, It would be time for my Wife and I to enjoy it! It would, afterall, be a belated 5 year anniversary present! We would play a little Battlefield 3 and showcase the 240 hz refresh rate (Yes, she is a girl gamer!). Then after a little gaming, sit down and watch one of her lovey movies, or maybe something like “Tim Burton’s Alice in wonderland” and celebrate our anniversary late!

  • http://www.facebook.com/daniel.schellinger Daniel Schellinger

Oh, and I almost forgot. I would also utilize the smart TV features of the LG, and watch some awesome Boored Atworks reviews with my friends before they leave, and mention that I happened to win this awesome Tele from Boored Atwork!

How can anyone deny that the ultimate 3D HDTV experience is to watch Live Sports broadcasts on TV!! My 3D Viewing Party will be to host my friends in my living room, with bevvies, snacks, throw-downs, and trash-talk – while catching the live action of the pending NBA Championship Finals 2012. My friends and I all live in Canada, and the only team we have is the Toronto Raptors, which I have only ever once watched in-person. In fact, that’s the ONLY in-person NBA game I’ve ever seen: we saw them together via a roadtrip down to Billings Montana to watch an exhibition game against the TWolves (back when Garnett was still on the team! We also got to watch the great Hakeem Olajuwon when he was a Raptor!)

No, my poor Raptors are nowhere near the playoffs this year, but watching one of the NBA Championship Finals live game broadcast – let alone the entire Finals (4 games? 5 games? 6 games? MAYBE ALL 7 GAMES??) on ESPN 3D with this wicked LG TV would be the ultimate viewing experience I could ever imagine for me and my friends, and would possibly make up for all the in-person games I’ve never been able to see all these years.

Definitely some of the great 3D cinema releases would be rather popular in between all those games, so I doubt my friends would let me watch those alone :)

    Thanks for the contest!

Who wouldn’t want to host a 3d Viewing Party? Imagine all of the possibilities!

First off, I would hook up the tv to the cablebox in case people want to watch ESPN in 3D.
With all of the events going on (baseball, NBA Playoffs, Stanley CUP), there has to be something that will entertain sports fans.

Also, I would hook up the Xbox if people wish to experience some Call of Duty in 3D along with my pair of Turtle Beaches. There are many people in my neighborhood that are huge CoD Fanatics and would love to experience the game they love in a way they have never experienced it before.

Movies will also be a definite for this party as I would obtain a couple 3D movies to keep the party happy. I’m sure there is at least one movie that everyone could enjoy.

Also, when the party is cooling down, we could explore the “smart” possibilities with the TV and see the options that were never presented before.

For food, I would definitely have a couple bags of popcorn, chips, and dip. There will be many soft drinks available, and a bunch of subs/ cold cuts will be available for guests.

Lastly, there will be a nice ice cream cake to wrap up an amazing night.

My wedding is coming up in August and me and my fiance are having a joint bachelors part with the brides maids and the grooms men July 21st, Would want want to incorporate the 3D TV to the theme or the party and have them all dance along with xbox 360′s kinect. The rest you will see for your self when I post the Videos because we party hard. A wise man once said, a great party can not be explained with written words but can be experienced with LG 55LM7600 240Hz Cinema 3D HDTV

I always have fun setting up new electronics. My ex girlfriend, mother, sister, and me live together so it would be a very small party. It would be fun to educate everyone on the features of the TV. The PS3 and WII would be cool hooked up to it. Ask my mother to cook something special. Have a Netflix marathon. Pay a few games. It could be a nice upgrade to my 42in Sharp Aquos LCD TV.  Whip out the camcorder and share my party on Facebook and YouTube. Finally share this comment on Facebook maybe get others to come if I would win

Sounds like fun. A 3 D party certainly adds a whole new dimension to an occasion :D

  • Princewill Eneh

The blood-curdling screams from my room could be heard 3 floors down as everyone in the room erupted in a thunderous roar of “GOAL!!”. People grabbing snacks from the dinning room and quickly rushing into the living room as not to miss out on the life like images from EURO 2012 tournament in Poland/Ukraine on the LG 55LM7600. The game is between to soccer powerhouses, Germany and Portugal. However the biggest star in the room was the LG 55LM7600.  Webner a friend and a german side supporter in the group said it best “Watching soccer on this tv is like picking through a window into the Arena Lviv in Ukraine where the game is being played”. “The almost bezeless frame floss against the wall makes the tv one of the sexiest tvs i’ve ever seen”, exclaimed Peter. The group looked hip since everyone was wearing their favorite team jersey and the lightweight passive 3d glasses from LG. 6 were included with the tv but since the group was going to be 10 we needed 4 more. No problem, these LG 3d glasses are cheap so I was able to buy 4 more before the big game.Back to the game…The trumotion 240hz refresh rate meant everyone could see the blistering speed of both sides attacking prowess with no blur delays or smogging. The 3d as Emeka  described it was the best feature of this tv as everyone keep trying to dodge being hit be to quick moving ball shooting out of the the tv screen. Everyone seem to be enjoying themselves.  The group couldn’t be happier as they agreed that watching the game on LM7600 was the next best thing to sitting in the front row of the stadium with the added advantage that we didn’t have to pay for seat and we all got to hang out, eat and yell as loud as we wanted.……To be continued

First I will invite all of my friends and family saying that there is something to talk about. Then I would have a cover over the luscious 3D TV. Someone will then say “Why are we here?”. Next I will just rip off the covering and show everyone the movie Tron Legacy with its stunning action on a possible bluray player. What a Night!

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/PKCMQQ36IGWT5WDFHLMUVRE6YY Jahn

When the tv first arrives I would call my son over to help me set it up. We always unbox stuff together. We would mount it on my wall and get it turned on learning the features, messing with the magic remote. Showing off the remote to my wife. As far as the viewing party, I would invite my kids and friends. Its a mix of people because some have HDTVs and others don’t. I would have snacks and show a movie and a football game both in 3d. Before the movies I would let everyone play with the magic remote and see the layout of the TV including the apps and app store. Everyone has netflix and seeing that it is included will be a great way of showing off apps. After everyone gets familiar with the magic remote it would be time to show off Avatar in 3d. I think its a great movie to show off 3d. Everyone loves it and to see it in 3d is like seeing the movie in a whole different view. Like your watching a different movie. Afterwards ask everyone how they liked it and what was different from watching in 2d. Next since we live in Jacksonville, Fl we are all big jaguar fans (football). I would show a Jaguar game in 3d. With the 240hz on it will be simply amazing seeing everything blur free and also in 3d. After that I would ask how they liked watching a football game in 3d compared to 2d.

  • Marlowe Green

Well since I live in a crappy apartment I would have a friend help me get this bad boy into my dads house (way nicer). Over the winter me and my dad renovated the basement to a half man-cave half bar hybrid. I’ll set the LG tv on the golden throne aka electric fireplace and stand, hook it up to my dads current surrounds and cable tv. My viewing for the night would be Titanic (for the ladies, 3D of course) and underworld awakening (for the guys). My moms a great cook so she would do the wing dings and such. Dad would provide the drinks lol. As for the guest i figure a good 12 people down there but its room for more. open invite guys. after we get ice cream wasted we all go our own way and meet up next weekend.

  • EPIKBONETHUG

I would love to have this passive 3d tv in my living room.It would give me a good reason to get my mom, brother and 3 sister that live in austin,tx to come down to laredo,tx.My brother to help me wall mount the tv , and my mom and sister’s just to be with me and their kids too because i haven’t seen them in over 3 years.I would love to have a family movie and game night this would be just great. We would see up in 3d for kids and use the 2d to 3d on the movie the matrix in bluray for us and then some dance central for all of us oh yea and alot of snacks, hotdogs, candys and popcorn it would be perfect!!!! By the time we are done i would ask my family what they like and dislike of the tv and why so that i can put a honest review on this tv in the lg site and why i would or wouldn’t recommend this tv.PS week after that it would be just me and my boys playing battlefield 3 on this monster of a tv..HELL’S YEA!!!!!

Hello and once again Thank you for your great giveaways: here is my 3D Party submission:
    ************************************************************************************************
What: Chris’s Blackout 3D Viewing Party
When: Hopefully after I win this contest
Time: The fun starts at 8pm sharp
Attire: Casual All Black clothing (Free T-shirt to those that RSVP)
    All ages welcome

    Theme:
This party will be a celebration of:
    1. Me winning this TV
    2. A showcase of how entertaining 3D viewing can be
    3. How awesome the LG 55LM7600 is
    4. And to showoff to my family and friends (Lol)

I will provide a custom black t-shirt to all my guests that RSVP. The front of the shirt will have in large print “I am 3D” (this print will be in neon colors outlined in white). On one sleeve i will have the Booredatwork logo and the other sleeve will have the LG logo (i will ask permission to use both logos of course). The back of the shirt will have a large picture of my face (just kidding) the back will have the wording, “Everything Looks Better In 3D” along with the date, party name, and city (this will be in neon as well). The guests can wear shorts, pants, skirts, etc. as all as they are black. I will have security at the door to turn people away that don’t follow the “Strict” dress code (ha ha another joke).
Now to set the mood, my home will be equipped with black-lights and an awesome pre-viewing party soundtrack so as guests enter they will know they are at a party. Before the feature 3D movie starts. We will play a series of party games with the winner being able to choose a slip of paper from a bowl. On these strips of paper there will be various 3D movie titles whatever the winner chooses that will be the feature 3D movie of the evening.
In addition to the party games taking place the TV will be set on my twitter feed & Facebook account so I will be tweeting & posting pics and other party happenings to all my guests (great use of the LG55LM7600′s technology).
Now for the food there will be various finger sandwiches, colored popcorn, fruit and veggie trays & cookies. All of these foods will be cut out in the shape of a “3″ or a “D” (well everything but the popcorn) and the cake will be made to look like the LG55LM7600 TV. There will be various alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages served in brightly colored cups, the plates, napkins and flatware will be brightly colored as well. I am considering a “3D” ice sculpture (if i can find someone to create it and its affordable I am already way over budget considering I hosted the party and had to pay tax on my new toy Lol).
Well folks its showtime grab your 3D glasses and let’s get the “3D” movie rolling. It’s time for my guests to enjoy the awesome quality of the LG55LM7600 in all it’s glory.

I would host a party for all my friends and neighbors to watch the The opening ceremonies to the Olympics! With an amazing TV, it would be the talk of the neighborhood! Of course you all would be invited!! Homemade Italian food would be the theme….because it’s my favorite! Of course hot dogs and burgers on the grill would be keeping with Team USA!

I would have all the girls over for a game night complete with Margaritas, Wine, Games and Movies! We could play the Wii and have so much fun watching the new 3D TV! We all love 3D movies so this would be even better if we could do it in our PJs while having a great time with good friends and family over !

my 3D viewing party would be a full day event. Since i have kids – i would start off the day on the earlier side streaming 3D movies from my LG 3D Smart Blu-ray for kids to enjoy.  We’d kick things off maybe with ‘Up’ and have balloons all over the house, or Shrek 3D and have green cupcakes.  then once the kids were all tired out and go home, we’d have our ‘adult’ friends come over and start the process all over again, with pizza, beer, maybe wine…and some of our favorite movies

We are moving into a home at the end of June and would love to have this in my “man cave” in the basement.  I would host all big sporting events that are broadcasted in 3D on DirecTV as well as host Xbox parties.  We will force our eyes to adjust to the amazing 3D picture non stop.  My kids would also love to watch all Pixar movies the way they were meant to be watched.

If I win this LG 55LM7600 240Hz Cinema 3D HDTV I would have a 3D HDTV viewing party for my 40th birthday which is coming up. I would have movies like Transformers (which has amazing graphics) and movies like Avatar and after we put the kids to bed it will turn into a horror movie night with Amityville 3 3D and Friday the 13 III in 3D. This would be the absolutely best birthday party ever. All my family have the latest electronics exept for me. I would finally be able to say lets get together at my house and not be embarrassed of my tv from the year 2000. I am willing to provide pictures to prove this is not an exaggeration. Thanks so much for having this giveaway!

The 3D viewing party I would throw would be amazing. I would have U2 3D playing and there would be lots of food and drinks. It would be like watching U2 in concert ( I never had the pleasure of doing so) I would also have Joe Satriani Satchurated 3D and Larger than Life in 3D which consists of the Dave Matthews Band & Ben Harper & Gogol Bordello. The list is endless of the videos and movies that I would be able to watch. It would be surreal. My viewing party would be the best ever and my friends and family would be talking about it for years to come.

What an amazing tv this cinema 3d LG television is! I’ve been researching for months, and I have come to the conclusion that this line of tv’s are the best 3d tv’s on the market period! I’ve dreamed about owning one of these. You see, my entire family is full of Alabama football fans. We missed out this year. Our team played for the national championship in 3d, and we had to settle for less. I do not want that to happen again!  I can see it now. College football season is starting. All my family is coming over to my place, and what’s on tap? 3d college football!  I can’t wait!  Even if Alabama isn’t on in 3d, LG has this great 2d-3d conversion feature!  We’re bound to have at least 10 people over for the start of the football season. After that, it’s the small collection of 3d movies I’ve collected in preparation for owning a tv like this. Not to mention, I will end up buying a small 3d camera, and take all sorts of videos and pictures in 3d of my soon to be born first child! (October 19th due date!) Little Noah will look great in 3d lol.
Our house will be decked out in crimson. No orange allowed! We’ll have any type of snacks you can think of, and we’ll spend the whole morning watching the replay of the bcs championship game from 2012 in 3d since we missed it the first time. I can’t wait to see the looks on my parents’ faces!  Roll Tide!

Let me first start off by saying Booredatwork.com great job on talking about the 55” LG 3D TV.

This LG 3D TV looks really awesome!!!!! Well just like in your first video about the TV me and my boy would take the TV out the box and do all the setting up. An the whole time we are taking out of the box and setting it up I will be talking trash about his wack TV cause that what boys do! And it’s no fun opening a new gadget with out your boy there! Then I would show off how great the remote interacts with the LG TV cool smart feature like in your second video about this TV. I would then invite my friends over for a viewing a.k.a “Look at my new big LG 3D TV to bad you don’t have one” party. Where I would show all my friends how cool LG 3D TV really is and blow there minds with how great the 3D quality. An I hope that there would be a few girls at my viewing party like in your third video about the LG 3D TV. But I am sure if I have wine and cheese at the party they will be there. Oh an I would probably have to call the police to kick everyone out cause I am sure after watching a movie on that TV they would never leave.

Well that is how I would have the viewing party if I won this LG 3D TV.

  • Anny Din

How I will host my amazingly AWESOME 3D viewing parrrtttaaayyyy:

Let me illustrate the events that will occur:

    two words…. KARAOKE PARTY

I’d love to invite the people from Booredatwork, I want to hear their lovely singing voices.

**At my house, the older 40 and 50 year old Cambodians ALWAYS sing
Cambodian karaoke with random videos playing in the background.  With
this TV, it’ll be time for the Cambodian youth to finally TAKE OVER, LG
    and Booredatwork help me out!

I’ll host this event in a British accent (with an inspiration from the slightly British sounding men in the LG unboxing video).

I’ll utilize the FOUR HDMI cables (yes, four they heard my prayers!) for
my Xbox360 & HD cable. I’ll work in a small introduction before
showing Friday After Next (like I saw in your fourth video; gotta keep a
chill vibe by watching a crazy santa clause run around and steal things
from people on Christmas) on this newly acquired tele as the British
say.  We’ll watch a movie, then move onto karaoke.

Hmmm.. a brief summary of what I might mention—-> buttons for the
tele are on the back so bloody children cannot turn it off and on, (can
you hear me in my British accent now? ;-p) cable “mismanagement” is more
than likely to NOT occur because of a wonderfully thought of wire clip
in the back of the tele.  I’ll give a nice introduction to the sleek,
provided magic wand and will possibly exhibit how it works [a couple
spins, swivels, and shakes].  I will also show off the smarthub on the
TV; Netflix AND Hulu Plus provided along with other apps, it’s like I
don’t even have to plug my Xbox in!

Then, I’ll tell my guests that the 3D glasses CAN be used to enjoy a
“less expensive” experience at the movie theatres ;-p (catch my drift).
I also might have to play some catchy Nigerian songs in the background
of my introduction, you know, just to add some ooommff to the party.

ONTO THE KARAOKE….. I’m thinking we go wayyy back, like Britney
Spears, N’sync, and Backstreet Boys karaoke.  This way, we can go all
out, no holding back!  This should be an ENRICHING EXPERIENCE, seeing
that I won’t invite primarily females like you had at your viewing
    party.

We’re gonna sing our little hearts out while simultaneously wearing the
3D glasses.  Hopefully we won’t be fatigued while attempting to sing
like our old icons and focus on the words on the screen.  Of course all
of this would be captured on video.  Wish us luck!!! =)

P.S. Seeing it that I just graduated from college, (woopwoop) holla at your girl Thunder E & Booredfemme!! =)

  • http://mellanhead.blogspot.com/ Jeannine S

I am not the super tech person in the family (that is fiance) but we would throw a Kick butt 3-d party. He would hook it up to our surround sound, xbox 360 and PS3. We would throw a little party for the kids first with a 3-d kids movies as a end of the school yr surprise. My youngest hasn’t seen 3-d yet so that would trip her out. (of course I would have to video tape that and you tube it. lol)

Next would be a bigger 3-d movie party for the adults so they can see what the 3-d tv does. I hope someday they make sports able to be 3-d becuaseseeing football in 3-d would blow my mind.

  • http://www.facebook.com/shawn.mcneece Shawn McNeece

Well I would host a summer themed party, after all summer is here. Those 3D glasses would also double as sunglasses. Everyone will be required to wear summer themed clothes. I’ll pick up several 3D Blu-rays (summer themed if possible), as well plenty of snacks, and cool summer drinks. I’ll host it in the basement, where’s there’s plenty of room for beach towels to sit on, as well as some lawn furniture.

sorry contested ended at 12pm est. thanks for entering

  • reelch

Hello! KC Stewart here I have been having trouble even getting online for the past two days!  I almost missed this contest. Luckly I am able to travel to the libary and use
there internet connection to get a shot at the tv. First of all when it comes
to being able to really get the best out of a tv with 3d like lg has produced is
to have the best stereo system for a viewing party, well if you looking for
a system that is that why not make it the ultimate experience. Sound system
a Bose Acoustic Wave music system II, with  advanced Bose digital electronics
fine-tune the sound for accurate music reproduction across a wide range of
volume levels. The vocals sound lifelike. All the Instruments sound true to life.  The overall effect is much like music in a natural, live-performance setting. Plus two CineMate® Series II home theater speakers.  Four soundscience rockus 3D speakers that creates a personal home theater experience that brings the power and realism of 3D audio. Two MonoPulse Hi-Fi Loudspeakers that provide the most realistic sound produced today. Every thing will sound like it is actually real and for a party it would be very outstanding. Has a holophonic sound.   I have seen other systems out there that dont compare to the sound of these two companys speakers.  I would like to do a nice unboxing infront of my family it is always fun, but what I like is what I saw in the unboxing videos is how you can place the cables and snap them to the stand to make a nice clean look. I like that the tv is only a inch thick probabley the slimmest I have seen for a led television. The setup seems more easier to navigate though the menus with the magic remote than it would with other remotes. I like how easy it is navigate though the smart hub. A very easy way to get to 3d with the a button on the remote. Channel preview on the smart hub is another thing I like, I dont know if I have ever seen that before, but that is a nice feature. Being able to switch
movies on the fly though my movies sent to the smart hub will be great so that I
would not have to get up and change any dvd’s during a viewing party. Converting
old movies to 3d will look great and watching football on sundays will be a blast
and better getting better views than people in the stands. Passive 3d I heard is more
clear without the flash of the active glasses and you can move in other positions
and view your tv without the glasses going black. I would like to know what some of the apps do like lg cloud? I assume it is simlar to apples type icloud app they have on there products. I believe that this tv has more featured apps than what you get with other tv’s I have checked out. Apps like factsbook did not know about that service! Has some interesting articles I guess that would be interesting to know?!!! LOL! ON SCREEN KEYBOARD MORE EASY THAN REMOTES WITH OUT A WII FUNCTION.
COOL!  It would be nice to replace the old toshiba projection tv that I own.  People that visit me say that it is blury and can not focus on it too long.  I dont know I guess I have watch it too long to ever notice this issue.  I would have good viewing party with barbecue, hotdogs, and hamburgers! I would Have alot of fun explaining all the parts of the tv to my guests!  I hope to have a really nice viewing party with some awesome ladies aswell.
Thank you! Boredatwork Dundee and snatch hatch!
