Introducing the New Lenovo Mirage™ Solo with Daydream™

[ad#co-1]

Cut the Cables and Immerse Yourself in Virtual Reality Like Never Before
with the Freedom of WorldSense™:
Introducing the New Lenovo Mirage™ Solo with Daydream™
Today at CES® 2018, we launched the much-anticipated world’s first standalone Daydream VR headset –
Lenovo Mirage Solo with Daydream. This VR device brings you the next generation of virtual reality: it
combines the simplicity of an all-in-one headset – no more being tethered to wires, PCs or phones – with the
immersive experience of motion-tracking technology on Daydream’s virtual reality platform. For a
complementary VR experience, we’re also launching the Lenovo Mirage Camera with Daydream technology
to let you capture your own VR video in a broad 180 degrees and then watch it on Lenovo Mirage Solo.
Launching the Lenovo Mirage Solo and Lenovo Mirage Camera with Daydream together reaffirms our
commitment to designing products that are different for the sake of being better. With their affordable
price points, this VR duo brings innovative, new technologies such as WorldSense and VR180 to everyday
users. More so, they simplify the VR experience with unexpectedly easy set-up and the ability to record,
watch and share your own VR video. For users intimidated or unfamiliar with VR, they redefine expectations
by delivering high-quality experiences and seamless consumption.
Lenovo Mirage Solo users will be the first to experience the full potential of motion-tracking technology,
called WorldSense, on Google’s Daydream virtual reality platform. WorldSense lets you move around and
explore your virtual environments as if you’re truly there – leaning, dodging or ducking through space. For
example, you can immerse yourself in wide-ranging content, from learning more about the Acropolis at
Athens by exploring the ancient Greek citadel in person or search for clues to unravel a mystery surrounding
fugitive Replicants in the congested streets of Blade Runner™.
Utilizing the advanced features of the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 835 VR platform designed to support builtin
VR functionality and help developers to rapidly release compelling content, and 4GB of RAM, Lenovo

Mirage Solo can easily handle the most demanding Daydream virtual reality experiences. We’ve also built
the headset’s display for immersive VR engagement with an incredible 110-degree field of view—so you can
see more of what’s around you.
Freedom to Move
Until now, portable headsets have been limited to tracking head movement using cords and external
sensors. In reality, you can experience content by turning your head left to right at court-side in a live
basketball game, glancing skyward at snow-capped mountains or looking behind you in 360-degree
spherical videos. But now with WorldSense’s inside-out positional tracking technology, the headset can
mirror real life by tracking its position in space through built-in tracking cameras and sensors.
That means you can really explore:1
Duck an incoming dodgeball, bank left with your snowboard or jump
over a hurdle – all head movements can be tracked within the virtual world using WorldSense technology.
Freedom to Explore
As one of the fastest-growing VR platforms, Daydream already has a huge and growing install base and a
rich VR ecosystem. With Lenovo Mirage Solo and its WorldSense capabilities, we’ll introduce an impressive
suite of apps that showcase the expanded Daydream ecosystem closer to the headset’s availability. Stay
tuned for more.
Freedom to Play
With up to seven hours on a single charge,2 we built the Lenovo Mirage Solo headset to handle extended
periods of continuous use, so your technology won’t hold you back. We also tailored the Lenovo Mirage
Solo for comfort. The headset is designed to fit nearly any size wearer, with quick-release buttons for visor
adjustments, adjustable dials and size accommodations for nearly every face shape, visual aid and head
proportion. Since most headsets bear an excess of weight towards the front, we engineered the headset for
a more even load distribution and balance to reduce strain on the wearer. We also lined the areas that
touch your face and forehead with breathable, insulated contoured padding for maximum comfort. This
gives you an ergonomic headset that looks and feels like something you want to wear.

The Lenovo Mirage Solo also comes with a wireless Daydream controller, which acts as a unique and
intuitive extension of your hand. Sporting a clickable trackpad, app and home buttons, and a volume rocker,
you can change the controller’s function from app to app. Besides a navigation controller, it can also serve
as a baseball bat, steering wheel or whatever fits that app’s purpose.
We’re also launching two more devices today in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm to bring you
technology experiences that are smarter, more immersive and life-like, with:
 The Lenovo Mirage Camera, the VR180 camera that’s built to capture truly immersive VR images
and videos that are easily shareable through native integration with YouTube™ and Google
Photos™; and
 Lenovo Smart Display features the Google Assistant™ built into a vibrant full HD touchscreen
display.
3
The Lenovo Mirage Solo starts at under $400.00 and is expected to be available starting in the second
quarter this year.
