Creed 4K Blu Ray Review

“Creed” was released in 2015, directed by Ryan Coogler, and won multiple awards including a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award. Now that you know the critics enjoyed this film, what about Booredatwork? The short answer: yes! This film is amazing and I will explain why.

In case you have not seen the film, or know what it’s about, this film is continuing the story line of “Rocky”. Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) is boxing champion Apollo Creed’s son, who died before Adonis was born. Thus, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Without spoiling to much of the film, Rocky and Adonis must overcome emotional, and physical hurtles along the way to Adonis’ first title fight. The writing style of the film is modern and realistic. This means they use current slang terms, and in a natural conversational way. The dialogue does not feel forced or awkward. The characters speak to each other as you would with friends or family. This draws you into the film and you feel a vested interest in the characters, and their success. Watching this film in UHD (4K) only adds to the experience and was like seeing the film for the first time. You may be asking: “But, what if I don’t like boxing?” While the film is about boxing, there are many other facets to the film that make it enjoyable even if you don’t like boxing (I don’t like boxing and loved this film). If you have not seen “Creed” yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?! See the film and support an amazing director and cast.
