NOTES OF INTEREST
• Video in 360 Degrees: 360fly is a single-lens camera that introduces an innovative new way to capture the world around you in a 360-degree video format – video that’s fully interactive. The advantage of using a single lens is that there’s no additional stitching of individual video feeds which introduces undesired stitching artifacts and takes longer to process. Smaller than a baseball, 360fly packs HD-quality, 360-degree video into a lightweight, water-resistant rugged design. 360fly is optimized for mobile devices, as that’s where most video content is viewed. The camera’s built-in WiFi and Bluetooth pairs with a free Android and iOS app and allows users to easily view, edit and share their experiences to their social channels. • Bringing New Technology to New Fans: GRC’s strong focus on digital content and engagement with a millennial fan base has positioned it on the cutting edge of the motorsports world. Over two-thirds of their fans are in the coveted 18-29 demographic. Live broadcasts on NBC, NBCSN, NBC Live Extra, Red Bull TV and fresh digital content generated on a daily basis keep fans engaged throughout the year which creates the perfect platform to utilize the 360fly technology.

• Jeff Ward: Ward is the first motocross rider in AMA history to win every major motocross class championship. Durning his career he amassed seven AMA national titles and a record breaking nine MX des Nations titles. Ward then turned his attention to Indy cars and in the 2002 season he was a race winner for the Target Chip Ganassi Racing team. He is now a trainer to Factory Honda rider Cole Seely.

Steve Lauletta, President, Chip Ganassi Racing Teams:
“We believe that GRC is the perfect fit for a tech company like 360fly. The fan base is made up of millennials that are on the constant lookout for the newest and coolest technology. We think that 360fly fits that bill perfectly. The type of content 360fly can create should prove to be a big hit with the GRC fan. We are pleased to have them on board.” Peter Adderton, CEO, 360fly: “We are not only excited about partnering with Chip Ganassi Racing on the Global Rallycross, but we are equally excited about the content access we will get in their other motorsports programs like INDYCAR and NASCAR. These forms of racing are built to speak to young conusmers where technology plays an integral role in their daily lives. We feel that our product is a ‘must have’ for these consumer to capture life as it comes at them and then easily transfer it to their favorite social media platform.”

Jeff Ward, Driver, Chip Ganassi Racing Teams: “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back with Ganassi – even if it is for only a few races. I loved my time with the team back in 2002 and am looking forward to being around them again but this time in GRC. With the 360fly collaboration and the intense action of Rally racing, I can’t wait to see what action we capture from inside the car. I think the footage will resonate with my motocross and car fans alike. I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel.”
