for any of you who have been to see Transformers and wondered what on earth that strange movie trailer with the handheld cam was… well here is a little snippet ever. BTW Thunder E and I watched Transformers for the 2nd time (in digital this time) and again we saw this trailer. Honestly a pretty good trailer… I mean… can;t remember the last time when I was this curious about a movie. The “Bliar Witch” type trailer is explained in a recent interview…

So finally, JJ Abrams finally speaks out about his new film explaining how the trailer fits with the rest of the flick:

“I’m very active on this one, as I plan to be on all Bad Robot projects. The only things I’ve been involved with which I haven’t really had any creative role were What About Brian and Six Degrees — both shows that existed before Bad Robot really opened for business (meaning, when I put my team together),” Abrams said while on vacation in Maine. “Cloverfield is an idea that I had over a year ago, which I sold to Paramount. The point-of-view thing (Handicam) is the whole movie. Scenes from the trailer are in the film. I got a really talented guy (Drew Goddard) to write (we’ve worked together on Alias and, presently, Lost), and Matt Reeves to direct (we co-created Felicity and he’s pretty damn genius-level). We’ll be announcing the real title shortly.”

This is a very cool video. In light of the new Transformers movie

Its almost 10pm today and I am looking at my transformers ticket. I will be seeing the movie with kiss0912 and a bunch of friends so expect a detailed review later on tonite. But before I talk about the Autobots and Decepticons. I have to give you all a little mini review of Live free or die.

Boy was I pleasantly surprised and impressed with-this movie. yes it was the fourth installment in the die hard franchise. So going in I wasn’t expecting much other than seeing Bruce Willis( as John McClane) on screen. So OK, the plot was easy to follow, with cyber-terrorism, and a plan to hijack the network infracture of the United States, in order to achieve some financial goal. Timothy Olyphant was convincing as a nemesis and Maggie Q was sexy on screens o no complaints there. I was really pleased with Justin Long’s performance, as it brought out the humorous side of McClane in this movie.  Yes the action was top notch, explosion everywhere with things which you knew McClane would do as his old-self. What you get here is a die hard movie with a John MClane that is older and just badass, with lots of action to keep you going for the 2 hours and more. This is the movie that kicked of the summer and Transformers is set to follow.

Back to the mega robots in disguise, I have been waiting for this movie for years and finally its here, I can believe it really, All indication point ot what we all want as Transformers, kick-ass robot action with little human interference. Just what I need for a long summer. Michael Bay was the right director for this and with Spielberg producing things looked on track. Now lets not get ahead of ourselves here. So of the transformers designs are wayyyy of the mark and  some key transformers were left out, Soundwave and hot-rod(yes even him). But in all I think this will be a great summer movie. So while youset and wait for the review. Enjoy this little clip of Optimus Prime kicking ass ….
