Thunderbolt

One of the major changes in the new iMacs is the addition of Thunderbolt ports. These ports allow data transfers up to 10Gbps which is twice as fast as USB 3.0. Great stuff. More and more thunderbolt compatible devices should be out soon. The 21.5 inch version has a single thunderbolt port while the 27-inch version has two thunderbolt ports which enable to connect 2 more monitors to it & have a 3-screen ultimate geek rig! Great stuff!

These are pretty much the major upgrades in the new iMacs.

The new iMacs are available in the same 2 screen sizes, 21.5 & 27 inch versions. The 21.5 inch version has the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while the 27 inch version has 2560 x 1440 pixels. Prices range from $1199 to $1499 for the 21.5 inch version & $1699 to $1999 for the 27 inch version. You can either have a 500GB or a 1TB 7200 rpm HDD or a 256 GB SSD. It’s your choice.
You also have the option of choosing between a Magic Mouse or a Magic Trackpad which is a nice thing.
