Ok Enough with the pleasantries lets take this baby for a spin in our video Review

Hardware
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a very very sexy piece of hardware, with a well rounded sleek metal finish on the edges, the tab 10.1 is very light and is about 8.6mm thick. I mean this thing is thin, its got a proprietary port at the bottom of the device for USB charging and data transfer. On the top of the tab is the power button, volume toggles & a 3.5mm jack. The back of the device has a full white finish with the upper half having a metallic finish that houses the rear 3MP camera with LED flash. There is a 2MP front facing camera for video chat, all wrapped around a gorgeous 10” display with a resolution of 1280X800

Software
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 surprisingly is running stock Android 3.1 and not a variation with Touch wiz UX, which we saw at CTIA 2011. The software ran much smoother than what we saw with Android 3.0 with the Motorola Xoom, didn’t experience an slow downs, and the amount of apps open in the multitasking bar seems to have increased. As for app, there are about 100 tablet specific apps available right now in the market place, but you can still use any Android app; seems Google has resolved the constant app crashing with Android 3.1 update.
The Samsung galaxy Tab 10.1 isn’t devoid of Samsung centric apps; Music HUB is an app by Samsung that gives you the ability to purchase song from the hub on to your device. You can search via category, genre, artist, and song. The is also Samsung app store, which is similar tot the Android app store but currently has 6 apps in total.
Camera
The Camera is a 3MP rear camera with LED flash that does record at 720p, and does a very good job. The quality of the camera still good, not mind boggling. it’s a shame the camera specs where reduced from the original 8MP camera which was in the thicker version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. But the 3MP camera still holds its ground.
Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is currently available in 16GB & 32GB Wi-Fi versions at $499 & 4599 respectively, which makes it a competitively priced tablet to its competitors in the market. Before you say this is an overall glowing review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The are some downsides to the device, for starters the is no memory expansion via microSD card slot, no HDMI-out port (have to buy a dongle for that) and can not charge via USB.
That being said the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 does make it up in style and aesthetics, it’s a beautifully design Android 3.0 tablet that functions admirable, though hampered at times by the lack of tablet centric apps; which will no doubt grow. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, is a mixture of style elegance and simple functionality that works and the price tags helps to set the mind at easy as a simply good purchase
